Torque depends on component and material; aim for firm engagement without overloading plastic parts. Use feel and incremental turns to avoid stripping threads.
The knurling provides grip but is on the handle only, so it should not contact painted surfaces during normal use. Handle with care around finishes to avoid marks.
Use the tool for external engine hardware like body mounts and linkages, but avoid applying excessive torque to engine head bolts. For critical engine fasteners, follow manufacturer torque specs.
