The look of new German hefty tanks on Asian front side, the Tiger specially, stimulated Soviet developers to build up a brand new generation of armoured automobiles, on the basis of the T-100 model. The torsion bar suspension system was installed greater inside hull, bringing down the tanks height through the ground and allowing setting up a more substantial turret in a position to hold a 100mm cannon (inside the JS-1) or a 122mm cannon (into the JS-2, which showed up by the end of 1943).
