Ken Tyrrell, who owns the Tyrrell Racing, ended up being deeply taking part in motorsports, making their move into F1 in 1968. Their initial MATRA chassis automobile had great results, but due to some differences, Tyrrell racing went down another road and design their original framework. This vehicle was handed the name 001 in 1970, and was designed by up and coming race automobile designer Derek Gardner. Although the automobile had some minor difficulty it was still successful, and it resulted in 003 in 1971. The 003 sported a sports vehicle nose as opposed to the 002's wing nose along with racing legend Jackie Stewart inside drivers chair, Tyrrell race won 5 races as well as the championship.
