• From 1988, Masahiro Shimizu had been competing into the MotoGP 250cc course, and had been considered by many as a driver with an unusual skill. He first gained internationally attention by taking pole place at Suzuka in 1987, and after winning the All-Japan Championship that 12 months proceeded toward larger MotoGP phase under the sponsorship of Ajinomoto. On highest degree, he obtained Top-10 general ranking finishes in 3 consecutive years before retiring in 1992.
