The MOTUL AUTECH GT-R was a standout in the 2008 Super GT field, campaigned under regulations that carried into 2009. The race car featured a 4494cc V8 DOHC engine and a transaxle transmission, wrapped in a low carbon body that emphasised aerodynamic performance. Drivers Michael Krumm and Masataka Yanagida helped secure notable placings, including second in the opening and fourth rounds.
This Tamiya 1/24 kit faithfully reproduces the GT-Rs lines and sponsor livery with pad-printed detail. The model measures 200mm long by 86mm wide and includes metal-plated roof fittings for a factory sheen. Photo-etched parts are provided for the intake mesh and brake discs, an internal roll-cage adds cabin realism, and solid rubber slick tyres give a race-ready stance. A clear display case and base are part of the package.
