The Mercedes-Benz 300SL has a strong reputation among classic car fans thanks to its 1954 debut and racing-derived pedigree. Tamiya's 1/24 Full View kit gives builders a chance to study the car's form and inner mechanics through clear bodywork that frames the internal components.
Based on the earlier Tamiya 300SL tooling, this Full-View edition adds transparent panels so hobbyists can see the multi-tubular space frame and the inline-6 engine set at a 45 degree angle. The clear parts allow careful model finishing to show off scale engineering.
Gull wing doors and a lightweight chassis defined the 300SL, while direct fuel injection set it apart mechanically. The Tamiya kit recreates these signature features and lets builders highlight them for shelf display or diorama work.
