This economical set includes Item 61090 1/48 Republic P-47D Thunderbolt® "Bubbletop" and Item 89755 1/48 U.S.1/4-ton 4×4 Light car with an original package and brand new complementary guidelines, and something standing officer figure from Item 61089. In May 1941, although the war raged in European countries, a single-engine fighter higher than 4 tons made its first journey. This fighter was in fact the XP-47B, prototype concerning the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt which a complete of 15,683 products could be built. From appearance of the P-51 Mustang, the P-47D Thunderbolt unveiled its energy during ground assault missions. The P-47D Thunderbolt "Bubbletop" fitted with all the current bubble canopy achieved popularity as a powerful, balanced fighter-bomber. The 1/4-ton 4x4 Light vehicle showcased its effective, lightweight framework and dependable engine, as well as only during WWII, over 600,000 devices were produced.
