In regards to the Crusader Mk.III Into the 1930's, a Uk objective observed the industry maneuvers of the Russian army and were impressed by the performance of a few of their tanks, of influenced by the designs of American Walter Christie. The Uk made a decision to develop their own fast "cruiser" tank due to their army and their efforts fundamentally resulted in the Crusader. When it joined functional service in 1941 as element of Operation Battle axe in North Africa, the Crusader was discovered become faster than its German counterparts, but had a less effective weapon, slimmer armor, and wasn't very reliable. Due to delays in the development of new tanks, it had been decided to install the larger 6-pounder weapon onto the Crusader. The larger weapon resulted in an inferior 3-man turret team
