Hard Compound Tyres Built for Tamiya Tractor Units

Whether you run show rigs or heavier trailer combinations, the Tamiya 56527 hard compound tyres give a firmer feel to Tamiya 1/14 scale tractor trucks. The 22mm diameter tyres are intended to improve stability by reducing rear slide and oversteer when placed on the front of a trailer.

Consistent Handling Under Load

With the harder rubber, you get steadier cornering and more controlled traction while hauling trailers. The predictable response helps when lining up tight turns or keeping a heavy load tracking straight over uneven ground.

Compatibility Notes and Uses

The Tamiya 56527 tyres fit most Tamiya 1/14 scale tractor trailers except the Mercedes-Benz Actros 1851 GigaSpace (Item 56335). They are also compatible with twin-tyre trailer setups and suit various chassis layouts where a firmer tyre is wanted.

I ordered a few items and they arrived a day later from delivery date. But that’s understandable in Covid times. rcjaz are great to deal with and will trade with them in the future.
Hard compound tyres typically have less mechanical grip on wet or greasy surfaces, so expect reduced traction in wet conditions compared with softer rubber.
They can be mounted on driven axles, but the change in traction will affect handling. Many modellers prefer them on trailer fronts to manage oversteer rather than on powered axles.
No special rims are required for standard Tamiya 22mm wheels, but always check mounting depth and clearance when pairing with aftermarket rims or dual-tyre setups.
