The Tamiya 70214 Heat-Shrinking Pla-plate gives modellers a straightforward material for fabricating tiny components. Its clear B6 format is convenient for cutting templates, forming details and producing custom fittings.
When heated in an electric toaster oven the sheet reduces to around one sixth of its starting size while its thickness increases roughly sixfold. This behavior makes it useful for creating small, rigid parts that slot neatly into model assemblies.
Permanent markers are ideal for adding colour or panel lines to the clear Pla-plate. You can also experiment with suitable plastic paints but always trial finishes on a spare piece first.
The pack includes four transparent sheets at 0.2mm thickness, providing enough stock for several detailing tasks or practice pieces.
