The King Tiger, or Tiger II, was noted for its heavy frontal armor and long 88mm gun, traits that made it a significant late-war armoured vehicle. Trumpeter's 1/72 kit recreates the Porsche turret variant and the tank's overall lines for scale model collectors.
Introduced as an upgrade from the Tiger I with development from 1942 onward, the King Tiger combined up to 150mm frontal plating with substantial side armor. This kit captures the imposing form that defined its battlefield role.
Designed for straightforward assembly, the kit contains 105 plastic parts arranged over eight sprues and completes at 143mm long. No metal or resin components are included, keeping the focus on clean plastic construction and paint work.
