The fluid is intended as a direct fill for open differentials and serviceable sealed diffs in hobby RC cars and trucks. Being a higher-viscosity silicone, it increases the effective locking compared with lighter oils, improving stability on corner exit and helping to minimise inside-wheel spin on slippery surfaces.

When carrying out a diff service, fully drain the prior oil and refill to the level recommended for that differential design.
