Top cap for 1/10 Slash 4x4 shocks

The SLADP/CAP is an aftermarket 6061-T6 aluminum damper top cap intended for TRAXXAS 1/10 Slash 4x4 platforms and compatible original GPM dampers. It caps the top of front or rear dampers and works in concert with the oil pressure cap to strengthen the seal and maintain internal oil pressure when the shocks are under load. The 6061-T6 aluminium gives a reliable mating surface where consistent sealing and oil pressure control are needed for tuning.

This component is used wherever sealed shock assemblies benefit from better sealing reliability and more predictable oil pressure response. It reduces gradual oil loss and helps maintain consistent damping between sessions. Designed for RC-scale use only, it fits GPM and original replacement shock assemblies shown in the compatibility list.

You can fit the cap without changing oil, but check oil level and seals after installation to ensure pressure behaviour remains correct.

Is the finish prone to corrosion?

The 6061-T6 aluminium resists corrosion when kept clean; avoid harsh chemicals and wipe down after wet use to maintain the finish.

Does this improve lap-to-lap consistency?

By stabilising the mating surface and reducing slow oil loss, the cap can contribute to more consistent damping between runs when paired with proper setup.
