This 1/12 scale assembly kit models the Yamaha YZR-M1 50th Anniversary U.S. Inter-Coloring Edition 46, produced as a display-quality kit aimed at experienced modellers.
The Yamaha YZR-M1 was developed as a factory racing motorcycle for four-stroke competition in the early 2000s. In 2005 the machine used a 990cc inline-four four-stroke engine and featured revisions to fuel tank location and rear suspension mounting to aid mass centralization. Brake systems and electronic control updates were also introduced for that specification. The U.S. Inter-Coloring scheme echoes earlier Yamaha race liveries and was applied at the 2005 U.S. Grand Prix.
The kit depicts the 2005 YZR-M1 in the yellow and black U.S. Inter-Coloring finish. Finished model dimensions are 172mm long by 56mm wide. The cowlings are removable after assembly for display of inner detail. The compact inline-four engine, twin-tube delta frame and rear suspension layout are faithfully reproduced, and the kit includes synthetic rubber tyres and Cartograf decals for accurate marking.
An accurate scale reproduction of the 2005 YZR-M1 in the U.S. Inter-Coloring livery, ideal for collectors and modellers who want removable panels and mechanical realism.
