23T Pinion Suited to Micro Touring Chassis

This Kyosho UM323C steel pinion provides a 23-tooth drive option for 1/48 scale RC drivetrains. As the motor-mounted pinion it conveys torque into the spur gear, so precise mesh and shaft alignment help prevent excess wear and ensure consistent performance.

Install this pinion when replacing worn parts or when altering gearing for different acceleration or speed balance on small electric chassis. Verify shaft diameter and the motor's securing method before fitting. Set a small clearance on the gear mesh to avoid binding, tighten the pinion, and run a low-speed check to confirm smooth engagement.

Maintenance is direct: inspect tooth edges for damage, remove any grit, and replace the pinion if wear affects the mesh. For lower noise levels, examine spur gear wear and bearing play rather than modifying the pinion itself.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It is specified for 1/48 scale RC models, intended as the motor pinion on small electric micro and compact touring drivetrains.
Check spur gear surface and bearings for play or wear; correct mesh and replace worn spur components rather than altering the pinion for quieter operation.
The UM323C designation implies a specific revision; compare the part dimensions and fastener style to the older unit to confirm direct replacement.
