Durable Cover to Block Dirt

The XRAY 324050 Composite Gear Box Cover is a lightweight protector designed for Dirt Edition rigs. It mounts over the motor area to shield the spur gear and the surrounding gearing from sand, dust and small debris. Built to fit the Dirt Edition, the cover helps maintain cleaner gear engagement and reduces the chance of debris-related issues when running on abrasive surfaces.

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.

Will it stop sand on beach or desert runs?

The cover helps keep sand and fine dust away from the spur gear and motor mount but it does not create a full seal. Regular cleaning after sandy sessions is still recommended.

Does it affect motor mount placement?

The part is shaped to sit over the motor mount on Dirt Edition cars and should not require moving the motor when installed as intended. Check that mounting points align before tightening.

Tips to extend its life?

After hard runs clear out trapped grit, inspect for cracks or stress marks, and ensure fasteners remain tight to keep the cover working reliably.
