Are new shock bodies worth fitting for club racing

If you want improved longevity and more consistent damping, hard-coated aluminium bodies are a worthwhile upgrade, especially for frequent use and abrasive tracks.

Will these affect shock oil choice

They do not force a change in oil weight; use the same oil you prefer for the XT8 front shocks and tune springs and oil as usual.

Do I need special tools to install them

Installation uses standard shock service tools. Take care with seals and shafts and check for smooth travel once fitted.
