DF-03 rear shock tower upgrade

This graphite rear shock tower is an aftermarket upgrade tailored to the TAMIYA DF-03 platform and Dark Impact body/chassis styles. The graphite piece raises stiffness at the rear shock anchor points, helping the chassis resist flex under impact and tight cornering loads.

Intended as a tuning aid, the tower changes how rear suspension inputs transfer through the chassis by reducing give at the shock mounting area, which can make traction and transient reactions more consistent lap after lap.

Installation is direct for DF-03s using the stock rear tower mounting bosses: remove the OEM tower, refit any spacers or screws needed, and bolt the graphite tower into place. The part does not include additional fasteners.

Fitment checklist

Make sure your DF-03 rear shock mounting layout matches the standard pattern. The tower is aimed at hobbyists seeking a firmer rear mounting point for fine tuning suspension behaviour.

As a pragmatic graphite upgrade, the tower helps create a more stable rear anchor for improved repeatability under load.

If the modifications do not alter the rear tower boss locations it will fit. Measure mounting points if the chassis has been altered.
Increasing stiffness at the shock anchor tends to stabilise traction by making suspension responses more consistent, but overall traction depends on other setup items too.
Not required, but you may want to tune damping or spring rates to complement the stiffer mounting.
Standard RC hand tools for removing and refitting the tower are sufficient; no specialised tooling is provided or needed.
