Quick Fit and Setup Guide

The Yokomo YOKPG4819 is an RC pinion cut for 48-pitch systems. With 19 teeth, it enables fine adjustments to the overall gear ratio when installed alongside a 48-pitch spur gear.

Functionally, the part lets you alter acceleration versus top speed without touching motor or ESC settings. Proper fitment requires a motor shaft and spur gear that conform to the 48-pitch standard to ensure correct tooth mesh and minimal backlash.

Installation notes: slide the pinion onto the motor shaft, set the tooth mesh to the recommended clearance with the spur, and confirm smooth rotation throughout suspension travel or drivetrain articulation. Recheck mesh after a short run and retighten mounting hardware as necessary while inspecting teeth for any wear.

Maintenance tips: remove debris from mating gears, inspect for worn or broken teeth prior to running, and replace the pinion if wear affects mesh quality. This item is intended for 1/10 electric RC cars and should be used with compatible 48-pitch components.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Place the pinion on the shaft, install the spur, then adjust until a small, even gap exists between mating teeth. Rotate the drivetrain to confirm smooth engagement through travel before final tightening.
Yes. Heat and vibration can alter mesh; inspect and re-tension the mounting hardware after a few runs to maintain proper engagement.
Set mesh with the suspension at mid-travel and rotate the drivetrain through full articulation to confirm no binding occurs at extreme positions.
