Paddle function and fitment

Designed as a replacement component for 60-size FAI F3C class RC helicopters using a D=4mm flybar, this control paddle acts as the linkage junction between swashplate/cyclic controls and the flybar or tail assembly. It establishes a secure mounting point for rods and ball links employed in collective and tail adjustments.

Installation is intended for modellers comfortable with swashplate linkages: remove the damaged paddle, preserve correct rod lengths and ball link alignment, and attach the replacement using the original hardware. After fitting, inspect for slack and confirm neutral pitch and correct cyclic throws prior to flight testing.

In setup and tuning, the paddle helps keep control geometry repeatable. It is useful when setting pitch curves and refining tail gains, aiding consistent response across collective travel and cyclic inputs for precise handling.
