Rigid aluminum chassis plate made for YZ-4S tuning work

The Yokomo S4-002SA is a hard anodized aluminum main chassis intended as a direct replacement for YZ-4S series cars. The treated aluminum surface improves abrasion resistance and supplies a consistent mounting surface for electronics, suspension components, and drivetrain parts within common 1/10 touring configurations.

As the main structural element, the chassis determines baseline stiffness and how mass is spread across the car. Replacing the stock plate with aluminum changes flex characteristics, which alters cornering balance and the suspension feedback you feel. Use this chassis to create a consistent test platform when you are comparing different shock, roll center, or weight distribution settings.

Installation tips: remove electronics and drivetrain components before fitting, reuse original screw positions and hardware when appropriate, and dry-run the servo, ESC, and motor positions before final tightening. Inspect mount threads and tighten bolts progressively to avoid deforming the plate. This chassis is designed for scale RC use and fits the models listed below.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Strip electronics and drivetrain from the car first, align the chassis on the existing mounts, and perform a dry fit of servo and motor. Tighten mounting screws gradually and in sequence to maintain flatness.
Likely yes. Because aluminum raises chassis stiffness, you may need to tune shock damping and spring rates to recover the desired roll behavior and traction levels.

Can metal fasteners damage the mounting posts?

Overtightening metal screws can wear plastic posts or strip threads. Check thread condition and consider using appropriate washers or thread locker as needed to protect the mounts.
Wipe away dirt and moisture after runs and avoid abrasive cleaners. The hard anodized surface resists wear but benefits from routine cleaning and inspection.
