Front and Rear Gearbox Seal for Kraton 6S EXB

This silicone sealing gasket is supplied as an aftermarket replacement for ARRMA gearboxes, cut to fit the front and rear gearbox housings used on Kraton 6S EXB plus many related ARRMA 1/7–1/8 platforms. The 3M adhesive backing gives a stable, flexible hold that helps keep grease and oil inside the gearbox and away from bearings and adjacent drivetrain parts.

The gasket material and fit are selected for hobby-scale RC gearboxes with resistance to compression and aging so the gasket can be reused during routine maintenance. It is listed as a direct replacement for the original part ARA311190 and performs the same sealing function without altering gearbox components.

For tuning and long-run reliability, a correctly seated gasket retains lubrication on the spur and pinion interfaces and reduces contaminant contact with ball bearings, which can reduce maintenance intervals under heavy loads. The adhesive-backed strip speeds alignment during reassembly, but builders should still check gear mesh and bearing endplay before closing the gearbox.

Does sealing the gearbox change gear mesh or noise levels?

The gasket itself does not alter gear mesh; however, by preventing lubricant loss and contamination it can help maintain consistent mesh conditions and may reduce noise caused by dry or contaminated bearings over time.

Will the gasket interfere with high-load runs?

No. The gasket is designed for hobby-scale gearboxes and will help keep lubrication where it is needed during high-load operation, provided assembly checks for correct gear engagement and bearing play are completed.
