This Arrowmax am-210038 silicone shock fluid is formulated for hobby RC damping systems. Its silicone base preserves consistent viscosity under shear, helping to regulate rebound and compression in small dampers so handling can be tuned without swapping mechanical parts.
When overhauling shocks, drain the old oil, check seals and pistons for any wear, then refill to the recommended level for the damper unit. The 400cst grade is on the firmer side and suits setups where a slower piston response yields better stability.
Keep the work area clean, avoid introducing dirt or threadlocker into the oil, and remove any excess from the shock bodies after filling. Dispose of used fluid according to local rules for synthetic oils and store the bottle upright away from heat and direct sun.
Tuning tip: viscosity choice must be considered alongside piston porting, spring rate and mounting geometry; adjust only one variable at a time and track handling changes to find the best balance.
