These alloy front and rear ball differential joints are produced as a two-piece set for Associated RC18T chassis. Each joint pairs with a lock nut to secure the ball end in the diff, offering a metal upgrade over the original plastics.
Used as both replacements and tuning parts, alloy joints change the friction characteristics at the differential output, letting you tweak traction and cornering on 1/18 on-road rigs. These components are for RC use only.
Installation is aimed at experienced hobby mechanics: remove the differential cover, take out the old ball joint, fit the alloy joint in place, and tighten the supplied lock nut to the correct torque. Basic hobby tools are all that is required, and light threadlocker is optional for extended runs.
Routine care includes cleaning after heavy sessions, monitoring the ball seat for wear, and replacing when play is detected. Keeping compatible lubricant in the diff will help protect the contact surfaces and maintain predictable handling.
