Durable steel universal drive shaft — AX10 Deadbolt

This steel universal drive shaft is supplied as a scale replacement for the AX10 Deadbolt chassis, finished in orange. It is intended for repair, maintenance, and incremental driveline improvements where steel durability is preferred.

Fit and role: designed to be compatible with Axial Racing AX10 Deadbolt models, the shaft replaces worn plastic or alloy components to re-establish accurate driveline geometry and maintain the connection between gearbox and axles during trail use.

Installation notes: standard removal of the front or rear driveline and extraction of existing shafts is required prior to installation. Verify retention pins, set screws, or U-joint compatibility and torque fasteners to the chassis maker's recommendations. No additional hardware or tools are included.

Specifications

  • Item: Universal drive shaft
  • Material: Steel
  • Model Number: AX10-24007-OR
  • Compatibility: Axial Racing AX10 Deadbolt

Suitable when replacing axle-to-gearbox shafts on AX10 Deadbolt projects or when a steel component is required for regular servicing and tuning.

Steel offers improved wear resistance compared with typical plastics and some alloys, which can extend service intervals under heavy use, though inspect joints regularly for signs of fatigue.
Compatibility depends on the axle assembly interface; the shaft is made for Axial Racing AX10 Deadbolt interfaces, so confirm the mating dimensions on any aftermarket axles before fitting.
After installation, check driveline alignment and any related linkages; minor adjustments may be needed to restore intended geometry, but no major setup changes are ordinarily required.
It provides a consistent mechanical connection useful for tuning, but competitive driveline tuning should consider gear meshing, diff setup, and suspension as part of the overall strategy.
