This steel front CVD universal swing shaft is provided as an RC-scale replacement for the Axial Racing EXO chassis, catalogued as EX297S. It performs in the front driveline where CVD joints deliver drive while permitting suspension movement, and is sold as a single replacement pair to address wear or to upgrade the stock parts.
Use this steel shaft when you need improved resistance to bending versus softer alloys, or when refreshing the front drive as part of scheduled maintenance. Fitting requires disassembly of the front axle components; remove the hub and retaining parts to access the CVD housing and replace the shaft.
As an aftermarket steel option, the shaft reduces under-load deflection and helps keep steering inputs consistent when the vehicle is under torque. Installation normally requires standard hobby hand tools and careful alignment of bearings and axle ends to avoid binding in the CVD joint.
