Steel rear CVD swing shaft for EXO

The EX295S rear CVD universal swing shaft is an aftermarket steel replacement intended for Axial Racing EXO platforms and is supplied as one pair. It is a scale RC driveline component made to replace worn or stock rear CVD shafts while keeping universal joint geometry and driveline alignment correct.

This steel option is chosen to restore drivetrain stiffness and reduce rear output play. The shaft couples differential output to the wheel hubs and allows suspension movement through the universal joint and swing mount as part of the rear driveline system.

Installation notes: installation requires removal of the EXO rear axle housings and standard disassembly of the rear driveline. Reuse the current retaining hardware where appropriate and follow the Axial EXO chassis manual for torque values and assembly order. Confirm hub clearance and full suspension travel before finishing the build.

Specifications

  • Item: Axial Racing EXO Steel Rear CVD Universal Swing Shaft - 1pr
  • Material: Steel
  • Model Number: EX295S
  • Compatibility: Axial Racing EXO

As a direct steel replacement for EXO rear CVD shafts, the EX295S part helps restore driveline geometry and cut endplay; match and test-fit on the EXO rear assembly before final torque-up.

It is designed for standard EXO rear assemblies; for modified axles check dimensions and mounting points before installation to ensure compatibility.
By reducing play and slack in the drivetrain, a proper fit can lower noisy lash, though final noise levels also depend on diff setup and hub bearings.
With the shafts installed, check that the universal joints align with the differential output and hub pivots through suspension travel and that there is no binding at extremes.
The steel construction is intended to offer improved durability over lighter materials, but inspect associated driveline and suspension parts for reinforcement if you run extreme loads.
