Aluminium wheel hex set for wider stance

These aluminium wheel hex adapters widen wheel track by 23mm to give better lateral balance when crawling on steep or rocky lines. Designed for AXIAL Racing SCX10 II setups, they accept wheels with a 5mm centre hole and clamp to standard 4mm threaded wheel shafts.

The assembly features an O-ring seat on one side for a tight mount, and on the opposite side a spring steel ring with a spring, washers and a stainless screw to clamp the hex. A Delrin internal collar locates the wheel and holds it against rotation under heavy traction.

Used as a simple tuning upgrade on the SCX10 II, the adapters increase stance without modifying axle geometry, improving tyre contact and reducing body roll during technical crawling sections.

Can I use these on converted or modified SCX10 II axles?

They are intended for standard 4mm threaded wheel shafts; modified axles may require verification of thread and shoulder dimensions before fitting.

How do the O-ring and spring parts work together?

The O-ring provides an interference fit on one face while the spring and retaining ring clamp the opposite face, giving a secure, play-free mount under load.

Will fitting these change my gearing or clearance?

The adapters only alter track width and do not change gear ratios or axle clearance; check tyre-to-body clearance after installation.
