Supplied as a single pair, this 20-tooth hardened steel drive gear replaces softer original gears on Axial SCX10 axles to provide improved resistance to wear under heavy crawling loads.
The gear transmits pinion torque into the axle and spur assembly and is central to driveline performance. For scale crawlers and trail rigs, choosing a hardened steel drive gear reduces the risk of wear and deformation when working at low speeds under load.
Practical fitting notes: set proper tooth mesh and check backlash once installed, inspect the mating pinion and spur for wear before reuse, and make sure the gear is fully seated. Replace any bearings or retaining hardware that show looseness or damage.
