These aluminium hex adapters extend effective axle width by 25mm to widen the track on Axial SCX10 II models, helping with roll control when negotiating rough, technical terrain. They are intended for use with 4mm threaded wheel shafts and wheels that accept a 4mm hub bore.
The retention system includes a Delrin centre collar for precise wheel location, an O-ring on one side and a spring-steel retaining ring with springs and washers on the other to eliminate axial lash. A stainless steel cap-head screw secures the stack and keeps the hex locked to the shaft during heavy traction situations common in rock crawling.
Installation and setup: verify your shaft thread and wheel bore are both 4mm, check for wheel runout after assembly, and confirm sufficient clearance to suspension components and the body when the wider stance is fitted. A wider track stabilises the vehicle but may put extra load on bearings and linkages, so inspect bearing fit and steering geometry afterwards.
