Chassis lift upgrade for SCX10 II crawling

This aluminium lift combo is an aftermarket upgrade tailored to AXIAL Racing SCX10 II platforms, increasing ground clearance and suspension articulation for demanding off-road crawling. It raises the chassis from the stock 77mm to 87mm, delivering a 10mm lift while retaining the core frame geometry except where the lift interfaces mount.

The set converts the factory CVD-style main shaft head to a universal swing shaft cross head to permit greater steering throw and smoother articulation. Adjustable main shaft lengths and multiple tie rod length choices let you refine steering geometry and track. The kit ships with stainless steel hardware, aluminium and POM/Pelletin collars, O-rings, and straight ball-ended links fitted with 5.8x7.5 balls where indicated for straightforward fitment to compatible SCX10 II mounts.

Intended for serious rock crawling, the lift increases clearance and suspension travel to better tackle obstacles and steep approaches. Expect a shift in steering characteristics and higher centre of gravity; follow up installation with damper and link tuning to stabilise handling.

Does this require trimming the body or tyre changes?

Some body trimming or tyre selection may be needed depending on your shell and wheel offset. Test fit before final assembly to avoid rubbing at full suspension travel.

Will steering bump steer increase after the lift?

Lifting changes steering geometry and can increase bump steer. Use the adjustable tie rods and reposition dampers to reduce unwanted steering kick and improve on-line tracking.

Are replacement balls available for the links?

The kit uses 5.8x7.5 balls in the supplied straight ball ends; matching replacement balls and ends are widely available if you need spares.

Is any drilling or cutting required to fit the lift?

Installation is designed to be bolt-on to compatible SCX10 II link mounts and does not require chassis cutting, though careful fitting and alignment are necessary.
