This pendulum wheel knuckle axle weight is a common aftermarket upgrade for Axial SCX10 and similar crawler frames. It uses a brass main weight topped with an alloy lid and fitted with removable stainless steel rolling beads so you can tune downward force at the wheel for better traction on technical sections.
The pendulum configuration moves mass low and outboard at the knuckle, helping keep downward pressure consistent while the suspension articulates. Inside the carrier the stainless beads act as rolling elements; each bead is about 4g and can be removed to adjust total wheel mass. Stainless materials reduce corrosion when exposed to water and mud.
Fitment notes: mounts to the outer face of front and rear knuckles, requires wheels with 45mm inner diameter and hub thread holes of 5mm, and includes a 21mm hex adapter to increase effective hex width for wider wheel choices. Assembled per-piece weight is listed at roughly 66 to 86 grams with all eight beads installed, and a minimum of three beads is recommended for stable function.
Use these pendulum weights to boost low-end traction and wheel stability on technical trails; confirm wheel ID and hub thread compatibility, and experiment with bead count to find the best compromise between grip and responsiveness.
