Scale Gearbox Reinforcement for SCX24

This seven-piece upgrade is tailored for 1/24 scale trail use to shield both front and rear gearbox housings and to give the differential a firmer mounting platform. Manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminium, the covers help reduce local flex and keep the gearbox stack aligned under load.

The kit contains CNC-style machined covers plus the matching cap head screws needed for the front and rear positions shown for the compatible models below. In operation these components act as protective housings and alignment aids that promote steadier differential behaviour with common RC drivetrains.

How long does installation take?

For an experienced modeller it is a short job, typically under 30 minutes, including screw changes and checking alignment.

Will these covers change vehicle weight or balance?

They add a small amount of aluminium mass at the axle area which slightly increases unsprung weight but provides stronger gearbox support; overall balance changes are minimal.

Do I need threadlock on the screws?

Light application of threadlocker on the screws is recommended for trail use to prevent loosening from repeated vibration and impacts.
