Low-profile gearbox skids

This two-piece stainless steel skid plate kit gives scale protection to the underside of both front and rear gearboxes on Axial SCX6-based crawlers. The plates are contoured to sit close to the gearbox belly and guard against sand, stones and light impacts you meet on trail runs.

Stainless steel offers a corrosion-resistant, durable contact face that wears less quickly than many plastic alternatives. That harder surface helps limit abrasion and preserves gearbox housings in abrasive conditions.

Fitment is straightforward: the plates align with the gearbox base and bolt to existing attachment points so the setup keeps suspension geometry and drivetrain alignment intact. The design focuses on external protection rather than replacing internal gearbox parts.
