Built as a direct replacement for the Axial Racing Yeti XL steering post, this stainless steel unit upgrades the steering post area to give greater rigidity and extended wear life compared with many stock components.
The part mounts in the original Yeti XL location, preserving factory geometry while lowering flex at the linkage pivot. Replacing the stock post with stainless steel helps the steering remain true under heavier loads and during aggressive trail sessions.
Installation follows the usual front steering disassembly and reassembly process using the chassis mounting points and original fasteners. After fitting, check steering travel, centring, and ensure there is no binding through full articulation; adjust linkage length in small increments to refine steering response.
For tuning, consider the post as an increase in steering stiffness. A firmer linkage setup and an appropriate servo will give sharper feedback, while softer linkages maintain more compliance for bumpy terrain.
