The Yokomo YOKBDBTCS BD5 belt tension cam spring is an aftermarket part made to fit the BD5 belt tension cam assembly on 1/10 scale touring setups. It provides a controlled preload to the cam so belt tension is more consistent, giving clearer feedback when making setup changes.

To install, remove the belt tension cam from the BD5 assembly, replace the existing spring with this unit, then put the cam back and check belt tension through the full suspension travel. Make small adjustments and run progressive tests to confirm the cam returns cleanly and the belt does not bind.

Tuning advice: the spring modifies cam return force and therefore the belt response under different loads. Small preload tweaks will alter drivetrain feel and noise; adjust incrementally and validate on your driving surface. Use common hobby tools for installation.
