Precision guide shaft for BD7-2014 SLF shocks

This component is an RC shock shaft intended for BD7-2014 SLF normal shocks, provided as a replacement during damper rebuilds. Its purpose is to give a straight, low-friction guide for the piston inside SLF normal shocks on touring car dampers, helping maintain a predictable damping baseline.

Service steps follow common damper maintenance: drain the shock, remove cap and spring, extract internals, and replace the old shaft with the YOKB7-S5N. Recheck seal alignment and retainer seating when reassembling to avoid leaks and ensure consistent damping. Avoid forcing parts and confirm smooth, even travel before final assembly.

For tuning the shaft plays a role in friction and runout; a clean, straight shaft helps keep damping repeatable and makes small setup changes more predictable. Regularly inspect and replace the shaft if you notice burrs, bends, or corrosion to keep handling consistent.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Yes. A new, straight shaft reduces internal friction and runout, which can subtly change the damper feel and should be validated as part of setup adjustments.
After installation, run baseline tests and make small adjustments to damping or spring preload if needed. Confirm consistent lap-to-lap behavior before locking in changes.
Perform a few controlled runs to seat seals and observe for any unexpected friction or leaks, then reassess damping and make fine tuning adjustments.
