Tuning effects of the rear-side front mount

The BD-301FR is an RC front suspension arm mount for the rear side of the front suspension, intended for Yokomo BD7 and BD5 touring-car chassis. Machined from blue anodized aluminium, the part provides a rigid mounting surface for the suspension arm pins and is aimed at setup adjustments rather than any full-scale application.

As a locating point for the outer end of the front suspension arm, the mount is an integral part of front suspension geometry. The horizontal spacing between the arm pins measures 43.5mm left-to-right, which must be verified so the arm pins engage hub carriers and steering linkages correctly.

Installation guidance: verify the 43.5mm pin pitch against your chassis before fitting, use existing fasteners where your chassis manual recommends, and confirm free articulation after assembly. In setup work, fitting this mount will alter roll center and track width parameters and can be used to fine-tune steering response and front grip on circuit or practice runs.

Moving to this mount changes the vertical and lateral relationship of the suspension pick-up, which can raise or lower the effective roll center and so influence body roll and turn-in behavior.
Yes. Because the mount determines the outer arm location, it affects effective track width; choose this mount when you need a different track or handling balance for specific track conditions.
Double-check the 43.5mm pin pitch, hand-cycle the suspension to ensure smooth movement, and run a few low-speed laps to assess steering changes before full-speed testing.
