Upgrade for BD8 2018 steering

This machined aluminum steering bell crank is an aftermarket upgrade intended for the BD8 2018 platform. Press-fitted bearings are used to limit play and support predictable steering link motion throughout sessions.

It is compatible with BD8 2018 series chassis and the MRTC-BD818 / MRTC-BD818A variations noted. During installation align the bell crank to the existing steering geometry and check that the pressed bearings turn freely before locking down hardware.

Tuning benefits: replacing a flexible pivot with this aluminium unit helps the car maintain established linkage geometry under steering load, which assists consistent turn-in and toe settings when you make tuning changes.

By reducing pivot flex, the bell crank helps keep steering geometry stable under load, which can make turn-in more predictable and tuning outcomes easier to replicate.
Minor checks such as toe and trim are recommended after swapping to aluminium pivots; full rebalancing is usually unnecessary but confirm steering endpoints and trim values.
A stiffer aluminium pivot can change load distribution slightly; inspect link ball cups and servo saver components for any increased wear after initial runs.
Tighten mounting hardware to a snug, repeatable setting that allows free bearing rotation; avoid over-torquing which can bind the pressed bearings.
