How this weight affects BD8 handling

This 40g centreline ballast is designed for BD8 on-road chassis and is supplied in steel to modify the chassis centre of mass on RC vehicles. The component serves strictly as added weight to influence handling balance and is not intended to change suspension geometry or other hardware functions.

In tuning practice, adding this weight moves the centre of gravity toward the fitment point, which can alter understeer/oversteer balance, affect traction when exiting corners, and contribute to straight-line composure depending on the broader setup choices. It is a ballast solution for precision adjustments at the track.

Fitment is simple when BD8 mounting points are present; positioned on the vehicle centreline the weight provides predictable fore-aft and lateral balance changes. Test by relocating or removing the item to judge handling impact before making other setup changes.
