Tuning-focused big-bore spring for carpet and astro turf tracks

This Yokomo YAS-825A front shock spring is an RC-scale part aimed at high-grip carpet and artificial turf running. It is designed for use in big-bore front shock assemblies to improve landing smoothness, lower the chance of flipping on tacky sections, and allow a reduced ride height owing to its short free length.

From a setup viewpoint, the spring should be treated as a tuning component: it modifies rebound behavior, ride height, and the rate at which the chassis settles after jumps. Combine it with front damping and anti-roll adjustments to clean up fast corner exits on carpet or astro turf while keeping compression/rebound transitions consistent.

Installation notes: place the spring on compatible big-bore front shock bodies following normal assembly steps, set preload appropriately, make sure shock shafts move uninhibited with your selected oil, and confirm clearance to avoid binding at full compression. Standard shock service tools suffice.

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
A stiffer spring will reduce dive and help maintain track height on exits, while a softer spring increases absorption but can allow more chassis roll. Match spring rate with front damping to control body motion through corner exit.
Choose shock oil that complements the spring rate; thicker oil for a firmer feel and thinner oil for quicker rebound. Tune progressively and test on your carpet or astro turf surface for best balance.
Yes; because of its compact free length the spring can lower static ride height compared to longer springs. Verify droop and bump travel after fitting to retain proper suspension geometry.
