This carbon center mounting front brace is an RC-scale chassis component that links the front bulkhead to the center two-speed transmission assembly on GTX flat chassis platforms. Carbon fibre offers excellent stiffness-to-weight, but like all composites it can chip or delaminate on hard impacts. Inspect after crashes and replace if structural integrity is compromised.
By increasing front stiffness you may alter load distribution which can affect front tyre load and wear. Monitor tyres after fitting and adjust setup accordingly.
No mandatory changes, but you may want to revisit roll centre, anti-roll bars, or diff settings as the chassis balance shifts with added front stiffness.
Start with baseline laps, fit the brace, then run a set number of laps keeping tyre pressures and battery state consistent to compare steering precision and mid-corner stability.
Use the correct screw lengths, avoid overtightening, and ensure mating surfaces are clean and flat to prevent localized point loads that can damage the carbon.
