Precision rear shock plate for setup tuning

The Kyosho IFW715 Carbon Rear Shock Stay is a carbon replacement rear shock stay made for the MP11 chassis to assist setup and chassis maintenance. It serves as the structural mounting location for the rear shocks and helps influence rear suspension geometry and stiffness without relocating factory mounting points.

Produced from carbon fiber, the stay targets repeatable shock positioning and reduced tower flex. In practice it makes shock angle and preload adjustments react more predictably during tuning. Install this part when replacing a damaged plate or when you require a firmer rear mounting platform as part of a handling tune.

Installation notes and tuning role:

  • Installation: constructed to fit MP11 mounting points while reusing existing screws and tower hardware; always verify screw lengths and clearances prior to final torque.
  • Tuning role: adds local stiffness at the shock mount which can change roll stiffness and transient response; adjust shock oil and springs to capitalise on the plate's effect.
  • Maintenance: after impacts inspect the carbon for delamination or edge damage and do not over-torque fasteners which can cause cracks.
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
By stiffening the shock mount area, the stay can sharpen transient response and make the car react more immediately to inputs; expect differences mostly when combined with spring and oil adjustments.
Often yes; because the mount is firmer you may want slightly different oil or spring rates to maintain balance and avoid making the rear too harsh.
The stay contributes to more predictable suspension behavior but meaningful performance gains come from combining it with proper shock tuning and chassis setup.
