Low-binding composite steering joint

The XRAY 352666-G relief ball joint is molded from a graphite composite that aims to cut friction while maintaining strength. The relieved area around the socket frees the ball for cleaner movement so steering remains predictable even when conditions are dusty.

This part accepts 6.8mm pivot balls or ball studs and comes as a two-piece set for standard left and right linkages. It is intended for RC linkage assemblies and ball cup holders rather than any full-size vehicle components.

To install, pull the worn cup from your turnbuckle or steering arm and press the replacement into the socket, ensuring the mating ball is clean and lightly greased if your build needs it. During setup, inspect end-play and confirm smooth rotation through the full travel to avoid any binding that could affect steering performance.

These joints are recommended when you want consistent joint articulation with less sticking in contaminated environments; they are suitable for touring cars and similar RC platforms for steering links and small adjustable rods.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Clean the mating ball and socket, press the joint fully into the cup, and check for free movement and correct end-play across the full travel before running.
They are supplied dry; apply a small amount of suitable lubricant only if your setup benefits from reduced friction.
By reducing sticking and maintaining smoother articulation, they help keep steering inputs consistent, which can make fine tuning of steering geometry and toe settings more predictable.
