How the BD-630 direct gear works

This accessory modifies the BD5 centre one-way main gear adapter into a direct main gear adapter by removing the one-way mechanism, establishing a direct-drive link in the centre drivetrain assembly. It is an RC-scale replacement aimed at on-road models where a fixed main gear is part of the desired tuning approach.

The adapter kit includes the axle pin required for installation. Converting to a direct main gear removes the one-way freewheeling action, changing power transfer characteristics during coasting and when reverse loads are applied. Use this option to influence traction and handling through driveline setup choices rather than suspension changes.

Fitment guidance: confirm centre assembly clearances, verify the main gear meshes correctly with the spur and pinion, and secure retaining hardware to the chassis recommended torque. This component changes drivetrain operation at the model scale and is intended for hobby RC applications only.

Packing includes

Yes, the kit includes one axle pin to complete the conversion to a direct main gear.
Expect different coasting and deceleration behavior because the one-way freewheel is removed; this can change mid-corner traction and how the car reacts when throttle is released.
Double check gear alignment, centre clearance, and that retaining bolts are tightened to recommended values to avoid gear binding or premature wear.
