High-stiffness aluminium steering block for DMAX

The Yokomo YOKTS2139 steering block is an aluminium upgrade intended for builders who demand firmer steering feedback and longer-lasting parts. As a replacement steering block for DMAX-style platforms, it gives a stiffer mounting point than typical plastic components.

This block is particularly useful when tuning Ackermann, toe and scrub radius on electric 1/10 touring cars; the increased stiffness helps maintain consistent steering geometry during heavy inputs and delivers a more predictable response when adjusting linkage geometry or changing steering arms.

Installation notes: it generally replaces the stock steering block and mates with existing kingpin or pivot hardware; most installations reuse standard hardware and ball bearings unless a special mounting kit is needed for your chassis. Carry out a test fit and check for any interference with suspension arms or linkages before completing installation.

Remark :

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The firmer mounting reduces flex, which can sharpen steering response and make Ackermann changes have a more direct effect on corner entry behaviour.
You may need to fine-tune toe and steering trim after fitting to suit the reduced compliance; small adjustments often yield the desired handling balance.
By limiting deformation, aluminium can produce more consistent on-power steering. Expect firmer feedback under throttle compared with more compliant plastic parts.
After fitting, verify steering centring, check for binding through the full travel, and re-evaluate toe and Ackermann in small steps to find the best handling balance.
