Rear Diffuser Overview for DP-YD2 Chassis

This RC-scale rear diffuser is produced to suit the DP-YD2 platform, delivered as wide and narrow options so builders can tailor rear behaviour on scale drift and touring configurations. It is designed for the DP-YD2 body and mounting points and does not imply any full-size vehicle application.

The diffuser serves as a tuning item: the wide variant increases the diffuser outline to interact with rear body airflow differently than the narrow variant, and alternating them is a method to fine tune rear traction, yaw response, and body clearance for different circuit requirements.

Installation is performed on the DP-YD2 rear body mounts using standard RC assembly techniques; always check body alignment and wheel-to-body clearance when changing diffuser width to prevent interference during suspension movement. Apply moderate thread-lock to metal fasteners where appropriate for long-term security.

Keep both pieces together as a straightforward tuning set for incremental adjustments to rear behaviour during setup and practice sessions.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Fitting is straightforward: the diffuser mounts to the existing DP-YD2 rear body points and uses standard hardware. Follow common RC assembly steps and confirm alignment before final tightening.
Cycle the suspension and inspect wheel-to-body clearance through full travel; adjust body mounts or choose the narrower profile if there is a risk of contact.
Yes, changing diffuser profile can alter rear grip and yaw, so you may need minor suspension or tyre adjustments to rebalance handling after a swap.
Apply moderate thread-lock to metal fasteners that are subject to vibration; avoid overusing adhesive on plastic screws where disassembly may be required.
