Why Replace the Throttle Seal

This YS Engine YSG7051 throttle barrel seal is produced as a replacement item for DZ70 engine assemblies, providing the seal at the throttle barrel to reduce fuel loss and prevent unwanted air ingress that can affect running quality.

The seal's purpose is to maintain a tight interface between the throttle barrel and the carburettor or intake housing, minimising leaks that can upset idle and throttle progression. As a routine wear item it is commonly swapped out during scheduled maintenance or when diagnosing throttle response issues.

Fitting is straightforward: remove the throttle barrel following the engine manual, clean both mating surfaces, then press the seal evenly onto the barrel before reassembling.
