Operationally, the boss helps eliminate end-point binding and can change how servo inputs translate into tail rotor pitch. After fitting, confirm smooth servo travel and that the tail settles to neutral as expected.

Fitting notes: mount the boss at the existing pitch plate interface, check for interference with the tail boom and rotor controls prior to final torque, and prefer original fasteners where feasible.
