FA608B ST Crank: Fitment and Use

The Kyosho FA608B ST Crank Set (FZD2) is intended as a direct replacement for FAZER D2 FZD2 configurations and reestablishes the correct mechanical links inside the chassis. It is offered as a spare for repair and upkeep tasks.

Designed for straightforward replacement, the crank set corrects issues caused by worn interfaces or slop that can affect vehicle feel and drivetrain uniformity. When changing the part, verify adjacent linkages, seals, and fasteners for correct condition and fit prior to final assembly.

Installation notes: remove the worn assembly in line with FAZER D2 service guidance, degrease mating areas, check alignment and unobstructed movement of linked components, then secure fasteners to the recommended torque values. Use appropriate tools and avoid over-tightening to prevent binding.

Tuning role: installing a fresh crank set restores intended geometry and removes play that can mask setup faults, helping to stabilise steering input and suspension reaction during tuning on on-road drift circuits.

This part is produced for RC use with FAZER D2 in the FZD2 configuration and should be regarded as a chassis maintenance replacement rather than a performance mod.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
After fitting, verify free motion of the linked parts, confirm there is no binding across the range, and ensure fasteners are torqued to the factory values for FAZER D2.
A new crank set removes play that can blur the effects of small setup changes, so expect more predictable responses when you adjust steering and suspension settings.
No special break-in is needed; however inspect function after a short test run and recheck fastener torque to ensure nothing has settled loose.
When renewing the crank set it is sensible to check related bearings, link pins, and mounting hardware and replace any items showing wear to maintain consistent performance.
